FALMOUTH, TRELAWNY
What to do around Falmouth
Falmouth, with its deep-water port, has become a trading city for the sugar industry and was once very rich. The historic buildings remind us today that it was an important Georgian city. It has recently been redeveloped into a major cruise terminal. Falmouth is located in the parish of Trelawny, once known for its agriculture, mainly sugar cane. Today, apart from the purely tourist attractions, Trelawny highlights its cultural heritage with visits on the history of the Maroons or the exploration of the Windsor caves, particularly in the country cockpit, a treasure dear to the heart of the Jamaicans but also of Jammin Voyages.
